Role Summary:

As the Technical Program Management Director for Rally.io, you will own schedule and scope for our four contracted engineering teams. You will be the primary point of contact for the Program and Project Managers at our external teams and will own release coordination, sprint management and release quality. You will partner very closely with the VP of Product and VP of Engineering, forming the third component of the Product and Engineering leadership team. Since Rally is a fast moving company in an innovative space, you will need to focus on pushing execution speed forward while maintaining the quality standards required for a company that deals in large financial transactions. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced program manager with an engineering background and interest in crypto innovations. A background in games or other digital economies is a bonus. As Rally is a nimble and focused project with an emphasis on decentralization, this role will need to be comfortable with shifting between directing outsourced vendors, developing the capabilities of those teams, ensuring releases are high quality and accelerating our release cadence.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with stakeholders, product managers and engineers to ensure that customer and product requirements are translated to the technology solutions that subsequently drive the execution (planning, coordination, management and testing) of software development from design through successful deployment.

  • Work with cross functional teams – technology, business, marketing and operations to manage multiple projects that have conflicting needs / priorities, using an Agile development framework, from concept to launch.

  • Organize the efforts of diverse engineering teams across geographies, languages and timezones. 

  • Support and align multiple external development teams with a range of existing project management capabilities.

  • Communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams – consistently and transparently with an emphasis on executive level communication.

  • Strive constantly to improve and establish a new bar in quality (using objective metrics) in project execution.

  • Balance the competing priorities of a) a rapidly evolving space, b) a live service with active customers, c) the risk of financial fraud, d) new product development and e) tech debt.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field.

  • 6+ years of experience within software.

  • 3+ years of experience managing agile software projects.

Sr. UX Designer, Rally

Role Summary:

Given Rally’s focus on decentralization and community, the majority of our UX work is focused on designing innovative and inclusive products, features and user experiences that elevate creators and connect them more meaningfully to their audiences. In this role, you'll partner closely and cross-functionally with Rally’s Product, Marketing, Creator Success and Development teams and with the Rally community itself, to ensure creator success within our growing ecosystem.

We’re looking for talented, collaborative and experienced hands-on designers with exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and solid design instincts who can translate business needs into compelling and innovative user experiences. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design user flows/critical user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, detailed UI and visual design specifications in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Create and maintain compelling design guidelines that foster simple, consistent & accessible user experiences across Rally’s products and features.

  • Communicate design ideas with intention, thoughtfulness, empathy and curiosity.

  • Incorporate user feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into all design-thinking, throughout each stage of product development.

Role Summary:

As Sr UX Researcher, you’ll bring creator and fan/user insights into every phase of the product development process, ensuring Rally has a deep understanding of critical needs, behaviors, pain points & motivations. In surfacing and widely communicating this data, you’ll play an impactful role in helping our cross-functional teams know what is most important to our users and how our organization can drive new & meaningful features across the platform. You will be responsible for owning a research strategy and implementing it, possibly inventing some new research techniques and technologies along the way.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create study designs, surveys and Research strategies that answer key questions posed by the Product and Design teams

  • Simplify and distill complex data into actionable product improvements that resonate with users and stakeholders alike

Lead Software Engineer, Platform

SUMMARY
As a Lead Software Engineer on Platform you will lead overall back end development. You
will work closely with our software architect on architecture and technologies. You will be
working with remote dev teams and qa teams both in house and through vendors.
You will also ensure effective communication between product and engineering and help
push forward best engineering practices across the teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Build software with a proactive operations mindset to simplify alerting and
    debugging of customer issues with tools like DataDog and Bugsnag etc.

Director of Quality Assurance

SUMMARY:
As a Software Development Director in Test, you will lead overall test strategy across multiple product incubation verticals in several technology areas including web, mobile, and API services, etc. You will own QA for web and mobile products and work with a remote dev team and qa team in house and through QA vendors.

You are an expert in a variety of manual and automated test tools and techniques. This role is expected to define what and how software should be tested to reach our goals for each product vertical, with input from Product, UX, and Engineering disciplines. You will ensure each product vertical defines and executes effective test plans that approximate user behavior of fans and creators. Your work will be depended on as a key signal on the quality of software during development, especially for production releases.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In this position you will:

  • Lead test planning across multiple verticals and disciplines including Engineering,
    Product, User Experience, and validate code releases.

  • Hands-on experience of automated testing frameworks to complete GUI,
    integration, API, load, and performance testing. Produce bullet-proof code that is
    robust, efficient, and maintainable.

  • Define success metrics for your team, including reporting on the progress of test
    plans for all verticals. Summarize quality findings with recommendations on
    whether to ship to customers.

  • Set standards for defect reporting with clear reproduction steps and other relevant
    technical information.

  • Have a thorough understanding of the deployed infrastructure for each product
    vertical and ensure all tests are run as a part of continuous integration build and
    deployment pipelines.

  • Own continuous improvement mechanisms for QA and champion new testing
    techniques, with demonstrated examples of having done so in the past.

  • Build software with a proactive operations mindset to simplify alerting and
    debugging of customer issues with tools like DataDog. Participate in an on-call
    rotation and troubleshooting field issues.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • At least 3 years of experience as a director/manager and owner of all-up QA
    activity for a software engineering org, including test planning and execution.

  • 6+ years professional hands-on software development/testing experience with
    technology/language like Node js, JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++, or Swift.

  • 3+ years building end to end test automation with frameworks used for web and
    native mobile user interfaces, API, load, scalability, and performance testing.

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience with continuous integration and
    deployment systems, with Kubernetes on cloud SaaS providers such as AWS.

Creator Operations Associate, Creator Success

Reports to: Onboarding Manager

Position Summary: This is an entry-level role for someone who has experience in administrative operations, customer support, and thrives in task-oriented roles. As Rally’s Creator Operations Associate, you will be responsible for directly supporting our creator operations team as they review inbound applications, move people through our pipeline, and complete administrative tasks related to maintaining our launched Coin economies. You will be in regular communication with our applicant and creator community, and the role requires both excellent email communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset. As Rally is a fast-growing project, we expect that this role will evolve over time and that there is significant potential for growth.

Associate General Counsel

Company Overview

Rally has a mission: to bring the next 100 million users into crypto by empowering content creators to build their digital economies, free from censorship and platform control.  We put the power in the hands of content creators and their fan communities.  Rally offers anyone with an online community the ability to launch their own, customized social token, called Creator Coin, without the blockers and barriers to entry, like the complexity of coding on the blockchain or the confusion of understanding what crypto is all about.  Rally enables creators to design their own Creator Coin to launch on the Rally Network, which is a decentralized platform completely governed by the community. This means that creators and their communities have unfettered control to use their social tokens across all social platforms.  There’s no limit to how a creator can integrate their token to their community - it can evolve and adapt as their community changes and is limited only by their creativity.

Position Information

Rally is seeking an Associate General Counsel, to work closely with product teams, engineers, marketing and other cross-functional roles to advise on privacy, consumer protection, intellectual property, regulatory, and compliance matters.  Reporting to the General Counsel, this attorney will be instrumental in formulating strategies for product development and implementation while assessing and mitigating legal risk.

Specific responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide full product life-cycle counseling for, from product development to implementation, ensuring product compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Review, draft and manage commercial agreements on a daily basis, including brand, sponsorship, software, and partnership agreements. 

  • Advise on a range of compliance issues, regulations and industry standards with a focus on privacy, consumer protection, and intellectual property.

  • Coordinate advice with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations and others.

  • Review products, features, and initiatives to provide advice consistent with Rally’s legal obligations in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction on novel digital currency and blockchain legal and regulatory issues.

  • Support product and advertising operations while balancing user and policy considerations.

  • Draft and manage the implementation of consumer disclosures, FAQs, terms of use, and privacy policy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5-8 years of relevant product, corporate governance or complex transactional experience is required.  Experience in consumer technology, blockchain or crypto, regulated payments, and/or fintech industries is a plus.

  • JD degree and member in good standing of a state Bar.

  • Substantial experience with US and international laws, content policies, privacy matters, intellectual property, and consumer protection laws.

  • Experience counseling product teams in launching financial services or technology products.

  • Familiarity with regulated payments, financial activity regulated by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and/or other highly regulated areas a plus.

  • Knowledge or familiarity with consumer-focused legal issues and products/industries, including privacy and data security matters.

  • Strong interest in digital currency, blockchain technology, talent/creator space, and innovative constructs and platforms.
